The easiest way to get here for those willing to spend a few extra bucks is by air to Begumpet Airport , the city’s major airport, or nearby airports in Guntur, Warangal and Tirupati. Jet Airways, Sarahra Airways and Kingfisher Airlines are some of the major reliable companies flying into this gorgeous India city.

Rail Travel

If you’d prefer to see some of the gorgeous countryside, you can take the rail to Andhra Pradesh. The railway system is expansive and well maintained, not to mention cheap and enjoyable. Additionally, when you travel by train or bus you can listen to the stories of your fellow travelers. You can catch the train into Andhra Pradesh from Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and other major states.

Auto Travel

Likewise, traveling by car is another way to see the beautiful India countryside. There are numerous roads connecting Andhra Pradesh to neighboring states such as Karnataka, Orissa and others. Car rentals are fairly cheap and major corporations such as Hertz operate out of India.

Bus Travel

You can also take a cheap bus or luxury coach from most all states to Andhra Pradesh. The APSRTC – also known as the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation – is a popular India bus company, as their coaches run all over the country. In addition to standard buses, you can take an APSRTC coach for a few extra bucks.

Once inside the city, your best bet is to go on foot or get a special-hire taxi.
