Getting There

The only way to get onto the island of Diego Garcia is to be hired to work on the island or to get PCS orders to the island. Most of the time if coming from the United States, you be taking the Pacific Ocean Route. Sometimes you can get an East Coast Route but most of the time it is the Pacific Route. The East Coast Route takes about 21 hours of flight time minus any layovers.
