The Zone bar and restaurant is the most happening place in Thimphu. Located just above the Changlimithang stadium, this restaurant is known for its music, food and ambience. The clientele is a mix of expatriates and locals, both young and old.
In a country where the staple diet is rice, the Zone offers high standard burgers, pizzas and steak. THe latest addition to the menu at the Zone is coffee, with brands like Illy and Bon Cafe which expatriates step in for.
According to the locals, the Zone has also been visited by stars like Matt Dillon and Cameron Diaz. The most recent star to lunch at the Zone was Michael J Fox.
