Benez
Edit ThisBenez is a tiny little place which has a very interesting clientele.
Some of Thimphu's more colorful locals mix with the many foreign NGO
workers living in Thimphu. Friday night is always packed and the tiny
bar is jammed. The BBQ ribs are the best in town, not that anyone else
ever has them. They tend to be fairly spicy. They also make excellent
mo mos but it takes a long time. Their Fench Fries are the best.

The Art Cafe
Edit ThisThe Art Cafe is probably the cutest and cleanest restaurant in Thimphu.
They serve mainly sandwiches and pastrys and have a small outside
courtyard. There are daily specials which sometime change and sometimes
do not. The chicken wraps are always on and a deal at less then a
dollar.

Seasons
Edit ThisSeasons is the only place in Thimphu to get a pizza and while it may
not be the best in the world, if you haven't had one for a while it is
pretty tasty. The Devil's Pizza makes use of some very hot chile and is
not for the timid. I do not recommend any pizza with yak. Be sure to
check that Sandya is cooking, she is the owner. If her husband is on
the job the food is no where near as good.

The Bhutan Kitchen
Edit ThisFor the best authentic Bhutanese cuisine the Bhutan Kitchen is the
place to go. It opened in the summer of 2004 and has become THE place
for the local big shots to hang out. The Crown Prince often dines there
with his entourage. The buckwheat pancakes are a specialty and are
great to wrap around the meat from the pork stew or the local staple of
chiles and cheese.
