The Ying Wei Yi Shu Museum of Jade Art is the first museum in the world whose core mission is research about, exhibition of, and education in the culture of jade art. Founder and director Soofeen Hu, a Myanmarese of Chinese descent, grew up, as a result of his family’s business and traditions, with very rigorous professional training in jade and precious stones. Ranked as one of the four best museums in the world, Taipei's National Palace Museum is home to the largest collection of Chinese art in the world. So vast is the collection that it takes 12 years to display everything (the displays are rotated regularly).

Photography is not allowed inside the Museum.

Getting there by public transportation: take the MRT (Danshui line), alight at Shilin Station, then take the route 30 red bus to the Museum.

Since its opening, the Taipei Gallery has exhibited both ancient Chinese arts and contemporary arts from Taiwan. Most exhibitions come from major museums and private collections in Taiwan. Miniatures Museum of Taiwan

It is the largest miniature museum in Asia and it is really entertaining. The exhibition is known for the great detail in hand-carved people, figures, and scenery.

Lin Liu-Hsin Puppet Theatre Museum

The Lin Liu-Hsin Puppet Theatre Museum displays puppets and marionettes from Taiwan or other Asian countries in a 4-floor building. The collection is well chosen and introduces many interesting aspects of puppetry. Admission is NTD 120 for adults and NTD 80 for children.
