There is so much to do in and around Kenting.  Take a 30 minute scooter drive to Baisha and enjoy the white sand beach.  Camping is available here as well.  On your back to town stop at Maubitou (Cat's Nose Peak) for a beautiful view of the ocean and coral reefs.  From here stop at Houphiwu Marina and go on a glass bottom boat for a view of the amazing underwater life.

Nanwan beach is the largest beach in the area and you can rent sea doo's and banana boats and boogie boards.  Take a walk down the beach and find Bud who will take you out on his catamaran for a nominal fee.

There's not much to see at the Kenting Youth Activity Center but take a walk around Frog Rock for some worthwhile sights.  Also take some time to drive to and walk through the Kenting Forest Recreation area as well as Sheding Park.  Explore caves, see the wild life and enjoy the view!

From here head south and stop and see Sail Rock, the profile resembles President Nixon.  There are lots of shops renting snorkeling gear.

A little ways down the hightway is Shado beach which is an ecologically protected area and the sands glitter with shells.  Although you can't walk on the sand check out the small museum here.

Continue down the highway to Eluanbi which is one of the few fortified light houses in the world.  This is also the most southern point in Taiwan.  Walk along the paths here and check out Kissing Rock.  A great place for couples.

From here head north to Longpan Park which is situated in grasslands and is a huge cliff over looking the Pacific.  A little farther north is Fongchueisha. This is another ecologically protected coastal area that is hosts to sand dunes.

Remember after a long day of sight seeing or relaxing on the beach to check out Kenting's night light and frantastic night markets.
