Kim's is centrally located near the famous univeristy zone including Hongik, Yonsei, Ihwa, University, it is also close to Worldcup stadium where a variety of shopping, health, cultural facilities are placed in and around it. And Hongik University area are full of  its colouful festivals and cultural events, known for its friendly, easy-going, small town atmosphere,and buzzes with student life.

Some ten minutes by foot from Hapjeong subway station Kim’s Guesthouse continues to expand its reputation as a fine place to stay for those visiting the city on a budget. A friendly place that feels more like home after a day the Kim’s do a sterling job making all feel welcome and warm.

Close to Holt Children’s services it also makes a good base for those who are in Seoul to discover their Korean heritage.

With single, double and dorm rooms available there are options available to suit all wallets - rooms are clean, spacious enough and maintained. For those travelling alone check into one of the two dorm rooms to make new acquaintances.

The TV room/kitchen area - the social hub of the guesthouse – provides a soft sofa, cable TV and free Internet access on a decent computer. There is always a group watching TV or sitting at the kitchen table discussing things over tea, coffee and toast. Which is free for breakfast or throughout the day if you need a snack. Complete with Butter and Jam.

As with many guesthouses the number of bathrooms available to the number of people staying can be too small. With Kim’s the balance is fine – the wait is never too long. If you’re in real need then it is possible to head out to the nicely kept facilities outside the main house. They may look temporary but inside there’s hot water and right next door a clean toilet.

If you need to do laundry then there are washing facilities to use which become free of charge if your stay extends further than two nights. Clean linen is provided on arrival for your bed.

Mrs Kim and her family give so much. Helpful and smiling since 2002 you’ll meet people from all walks for life at their guesthouse.
