Lotte World
Located in Seoul is an indoor amusement park that is open all year round. There are wild roller coasters for your older children and tame rides for your little ones. There's also a pool complete with water slides and a skating rink with a viewing area. This amusement park is so much more than that, with a shopping center, hotel and even a folk museum within its boundaries.
Daejeon Zooland
The second largest zoo in Korea is extremely family friendly. You can hop a bus for an African Safari through the area where lions, elephants and giraffes roam free, or you can see the mountain goats and deer on the Mountain Safari. There are tigers, monkeys, reptiles and seals along with tons of birds, and there are animal shows throughout the day. There's also a sculpture park and even an amusement park with several roller coasters and other wild rides.
Yongpyong Resort
Located in Pyeongchang is the largest ski resort in South Korea. It includes skiing, sled riding, bowling, karaoke rooms and a swimming pool. There are various play areas designed for children of different ages, including infants, toddlers and school children. There's a beauty parlor for mom, and an indoor driving range for dad. In the spring the skiing gives way for golf, but the rest of the facilities remain open all year.
Gyeongbok Palace
If you want to introduce your family to a bit of culture, bring them to Gyeongbok Palace in Seoul. You can witness the changing of the guards, a very popular attraction with kids, before touring the complex. View the throne room, banquet hall, living quarters and pavilions all set among beautiful lakes. There's also a sculpture park, and on the corner of the grounds is the National Folk Museum for some additional information on Korean life that's sure to interest everyone in your family.
