Here you will find a multitude of examples of interesting architecture including the original Imperial Hotel in Tokyo, built by the American architect, Frank Lloyd Wright.

Tokugawa Museum
Edit ThisThis fascinating museum provides an excellent introduction to Japanese arts and culture. It is filled with artifacts from the inheritance of the great Edo Period shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu and his clan, such as swords and armor, Noh drama costumes, tea ceremony items, and more. Its most precious possession is the original scroll of the 12th century epic poem 'The Tale of Genji'.

Art Museum
Edit ThisLocated in Shirakawa Park, this museum was designed by Kisho Kurokawa, one of Japan's leading architects. The museum's permanent collection of Japanese and Western art is displayed in rotation, as well as special exhibitions from galleries world-wide.
