Edit This
Equipping yourself with a list of Zhong Shan things to do will be quite useful if you are planning a visit to this Chinese city. Here are some of the things you can do while vacationing here.

Yangtze River Reservoir

Located about 9 km from the city center is the Yangtze River reservoir, which is also known to tourists as the Green Cascade of Yangtze River. This is one of the most scenic spots around the area. The reservoir is surrounded by verdant green hills on all sides. This lush greenery is reflected in the vast expanse of water, and that's why it's known as the Green Cascade. Tourists can ride a boat along the river to take in the spectacular view. The beautiful scenery around this reservoir has made it one of the best places to visit among Zhong Shan tourists.

Wugui Mountain

Wugui Mountain is another popular attraction in Zhong Shan, situated at the mouth of the Pearl River. It has an altitude of around 1,742 feet and offers a few paths to trek. Wugui Mountain literally translates to "five osmanthus mountain". The name was given to the mountain because it has five different peaks where osmanthus flourishes. Tourists can also enjoy the beauty of a huge variety of flowers and plants.

Chung Shan Hot Spring Golf Club

Tourists looking for an exciting game of golf should visit the Chung Shan Hot Spring Golf Club. This is the first modern golfing establishment which originally opened in 1984. The club has two golf courses, each designed by Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus, two of the most famous names in the game. Being designed by two of the best golfers in history, visitors should be prepared for a game that requires precise shot making. In addition to two great courses, the club also has a swimming pool, hot spring bath and great accommodation.

Zhong Shan Park

Zhong Shan Park was once an altar for gods of the earth and grain. In fact, visitors to the park will still be able to see an earth altar with five colors which symbolize the emperor's rule over the state. The park also has woodlands that are filled with ancient trees. This makes it a great place for nature lovers. Tourists looking for a little more action can rent a small boat and take a trip around the Forbidden City. This will give them excellent views of turrets on the walls.
