Beaches in Zhong Shan

Edit This

Located in northeast China, Zhong Shan is a district within the city of Dalian, which is the northernmost seaport city in China. Because of its northern location and warm waters, Zhong Shan has a mild climate. Temperatures in January are cold, staying at about freezing temperature. During the summer, though, the climate is ideal for pleasant weather seekers, with temperatures ranging from 20 to 27 degrees C (68 to 81 degrees F.) Aside from the bustling urban setting, Dalian also boasts of exquisite, sun-soaked beaches that development has not completely ruined yet. Here are some of the Zhong Shan Beaches.

Bangchui Island and Beach

Bangchui is an isolated island off the coast of northeastern China. Almost volcanic in appearance, the island has jagged peaks on one side with yielding, relaxing sandy beaches on the other side. Some of the beach areas have smooth, amber-colored pebbles instead of sand, which contrast with the deep blue of the water to create a striking image for anyone having the pleasure of seeing it. Beyond the glimmering amber rocks lies a hotel, golf course, tennis court, and various other resort-style accommodations for those who have extra money to spend. Bangchui is extremely isolated and peaceful, and here one experiences what pure, untarnished nature is (if you venture out onto the island.)

Fujiazhuang Beach

Fujiazhuang Beach is growing in popularity, meaning that an increasing number of people are vacationing there, especially during the peak season in August. Although there some remote regions exist, most of this beach is packed to the brim with people drawn by the agreeable temperatures and the close vicinity to the vibrant city of Dalian. What remote regions you may find are guaranteed to be beautiful; Fujiazhuang Beach has colorful coral and sea life in some areas, but these are not guaranteed to live there forever.

Tiger Beach

Do not be fooled by the name, Tiger Beach is not actually a beach. Tiger Beach is designed for family entertainment; it contains a polar aquarium, a zoo, carnival-like rides, and a water park. The Tiger Beach Ocean Park houses unique creatures like the sea elephant, dolphins, beluga whales, and penguins. Kids cannot help but smile as they see cute tuxedoed penguins and the enormous tiger sculptures the park contains. Tiger Beach is not a beach in the strictest sense, but it will entertain your family indefinitely.

The Zhong Shan district and surrounding areas have scenic beaches for the romantic or adventurous vacationer as well as non-traditional beaches with a slew of activities for anyone to enjoy. Regardless of what type of beach dweller is vacationing, Zhong Shan is home to a variety of beaches that are all unique and stunning.
