Eating Out In the Turkish part of town there are many small places where the food is cooked right in front of you. In the Chinese part there are more regular restaurants that serve (Han) Chinese food at reasonable prices.

If you would like a taste of chocoate cake, pizza, or just a good cup of coffee while visiting Kashgar, this is the place to go. Run by foreigners, it is clean and staffed by English speaking locals. They also offer a travel information service and have local handicrafts for sale. Situated right next door to the Qinibagh Hotel, the cafe is just a few minutes walk from the heart of the city.

Oasis Cafe

Eat at this place! This neat little outdoor restaurant provides a laid back atmosphere where comfort in inevitable. Run by a local family, their kindness and menu is superb. They feature the usual backpacker menu but also include some very unique items to north-east China, such as peanut butter... No joke my friends, it's the real thing! They also have a very fine selection of Chinese dishes which are hard to find in an area that features mostly central asian foods. But since we are on that subject, their local delicacies also very tasty. So please, more..
