Backpax

Backpax Hostel is a welcoming addition to the backpacking scene of Xi'an.  It is American owned and run and staff is made up of very friendly, helpful, and fun Chinese University students.

The hostel's rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are world class (the previous owners had outfitted the space to be a luxury spa with some rooms even having separate tubs and showers!) There are very comfortable areas to sit and read, well maintained computers (free!), wifi, etc. The cafe even serves real coffee (ground bean  coffee, not  Nescafe), something really hard to find in China.
