Tianjin's a great place. I recommend a walk around the Concession
Areas. There's numerous districts where Europeans lived during
occupation at the start of the 20th Century (approx!) - these include:
British, American, Italian, French and Russian. TJ's architecture has a
great European influence as a result, and a lot of the banks etc. used
to be official concession buildings.
