There are a great variety of hotpots, including Yueyang Hotpot, Siwei (Four Tastes) Hotpot, Yashan Hotpot, Yutou (Fish Head) Hotpot and Quanyang Hotpot.
There are also other kinds of snacks, such as the tasty noodles, baozi(steamed bread dumplings), and other famous dishes including tea-smoked duck and dry-stewed fish in the small restaurants and street vendors. Other famous foods include: Hechuan Peach Slices, the Mihuatang of Jiangzhen, Preserved Eggs from Yongchuan, Fermented Beancurd from Zhongxian, Fuling Hot Pickled Mustard Tuber, Yellow Peaches from Tongnan, Oranges from Beibei, Pressed Salted Duck from Baishiyi and the Beef of Laosichuan.
In Nanshan district, there is a snack street noted for its Quanshui chicken, Duck Cooked with Beer, and at the foot of Gele Mountain there is a well-known gourmet zone noted for its offerings of Ciqikou's Fish with Beancurd, Tongnan's Tai'an Fish and Bishan's Laifeng Fish

A Taste of Singapore
Edit ThisIt's the best place for when you miss home. living in chongqing & loving the food is my life here, but when i get the craving for some "familiar" chinese food (not volcano spicy & swimming in oil), there's always the singapore to pig out at. they also have a killer fish & chips which satisfies me every now and then! (being british n all)
we normally go with the other foreign students on fridays when it's half-price on all the cocktails & mixed drinks. it's great for us in shapingba so we don't need to go all the way downtown to party. probably my favourite more..
