Oriental Riverside Hotel
Edit This
The Oriental Riverside is a brand-new luxury hotel attached to the Shanghai International Convention Center in Pudong, across the Huangpu River from the Bund and next to the Oriental Pearl Tower. The hotel is well-appointed, with large guest rooms, marble baths, and glorious views of the Bund from many rooms. The breakfast buffet includes both Western and Asian food, but it is expensive (US$18/person); try to get a package where it's included with our room. There's an airport shuttle that costs 30RMB/person. A cab during non-rush-hour cost us 120RMB (~US$10), and was much more convenient and comfortable. We got a great deal through AsiaTravel (http://www.asiatravel.com/china/shanghai/orientalriverside/index.html), and paid US$490 for three days--we got a Bund-view double for three days, including two breakfasts.
