Longmen Caves

As one of the three caves representing the peak of Buddhist cave art, together with the Dunhuang Grottos and Datong Grottos, the Longmen caves at Luoyang is very impressed to the entire people home and overseas. It is a group of more than 100,000 statues of Buddha and his disciples caved on the cliff of the Yi River in 494 AD. During the 19th and 20th century, the western hunters rushed into China. Xiangguo Temple

The Xiangguo Temple, also know as Jianguo Temple at the very beginning, is one of the most famous Buddhist temples in China. It covers an area of 36 hectares with an old cast-iron bell standing in the yard. Located in Kaifeng, one of the most ancient cities in China, the Xiangguo Temple was first built in 555A.D,during the Northern Qi Dynasty. It was destroyed by the Yellow River Flood in 1644 and rebuilt in 1766. In the history, there are some famous monks of the Temple once gained honorable titles from the emperors. Maybe that is the season why it was once called the Imperial Temple.
