When to Go in Sanya

When it comes to visiting a place like Sanya, when to go is an important decision to make. Of course, it all depends on the type of climate that each individual prefers. However, most of the time, Sanya is perfect year round, a tropical paradise.

Spring and Summer Weather

Spring here runs from about March to May, and the average temperature is around 68 degrees F. This is the perfect time of year for someone who prefers short sleeve weather; however, a light jacket or sweater might be required for the cooler evenings.

Summer lasts from about May to November, with an average temperature of 79F. If you are a water lover, bring several changes of clothes because the humidity prevents them from drying quickly once they are wet. This is also typhoon season, so expect a lot of rain.

Fall and Winter

Fall lasts from about November to December. This is the time of year when long sleeves or sweaters are advised.  It should be noted that while traveling in November, you might come across the national wedding celebration, which could very well be a highlight of the trip.

Winter here is from December through February. It has an average temperature of 80F, so if avoiding the cold for the winter is a goal, this is a good time to get away to a place where beaches, sandals and short sleeves are still comfortable. To avoid cold water at the beach, diving is suggested to be done between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. In addition, especially be aware of sunburn during these months because the solar radiation tends to be higher.
