Orientation in Beijing
Edit ThisBeijing is the capital of the People's Republic of China. It is located at the north rim of the extensive North China plain and on latitude 39‹56" N and longitude 116‹20" E. Topographically, it is high in the northwest and low in the south-east. To the west, north and east the country is surrounded by mountains, to the south the gentle plain is gradually dipping to the Bohai Bay. Beijing's climate is dominated by a typical warm semi-humid continental monsoon. Administratively, Beijing is divided into 12 districts and 6 counties with a registered permanent residence of 10.9551 million people. Chrysanthemums and Chinese roses are the flowers of Beijing whereas Oriental arborvitae and Chinese scholartree are the city's trees.
