You can reach UAE by car via the road route from Saudi Arabia in the south. Tourists can reach UAE by Oman in the east. UAE is especially known for its excellent road conditions. However, you will take a lot of time to reach by road due to the traffic congestion between Sharjah and Dubai. Remember that you will have to pay 4 AED (about US $1) as a road charge if you want to get across the Salik Toll Gate. You will also have to apply for a prepaid license card.
