Fujairah has many different sites to explore that are both interesting and fun to visit. This area is currently developing into a resort beach area in the United Arab Emerits and has many sites to see and things to do.

Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort

Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort is near a reef where many different corals grow. If you are a certified diver you can take advantage of the equipment they have to rent  and dive to see these corals and several old wrecks in the Indian Ocean. 

Ain Al Madhab Gardens

Ain Al Madhab Gardens is a beautiful spot near the Hajar Mountains. There are many mineral spa springs in this area and you can get rid of tired muscles here. That isn’t the only thing to do in the Gardens. There is a small zoo, an outdoor theater, and a heritage village where you can explore some of the traditional homes of the area and see displays of pottery, cookware, fishing boats and also explore the ruins of the old Fujairah fort. This fort is currently being renovated after being severely damaged by the British in the 20th Century. 

Bull Fighting

A site one must see in Fujairah is Bull Fighting, which is very popular here. It is a little different than what one would expect and not bloody at all. Most bullfighting takes place between a bull and a bull fighter, but not in Fujairah. Instead they put two bulls together and watch as they struggle together to see who has the most strength. It is unique. 

Fujairah Museum

Fujairah Museum has artifacts from the area that date back to the Bronze Age that come from excavations all over the area. There are displays of how life was in the past as well. 

Bithna Village

Take a trip to the Bithna village and fort that protected the area for hundreds of years. It is just a ruin now but you can see how big it was. 

Bidiya Mosque

The Bidiya Mosque is one of the oldest places of worship in the area and known as the Ottoman Mosque. It has four small domes that are held up by one big central pillar. It is up on a hill and boasts 2 watchtowers where one can see all the small farms in the area. 

If you get tired of traveling around to see all the sites in the area you can go relax on one of the many beaches or swim in the ocean.
