Getting There in Fujairah
Edit This
The small emirate of Fujairah is a bustling business center. Not meant
for tourists and sightseeing, the primary purpose of this city is for
corporate meetings and conventions. Traveling to and around Fujairah
can be done in a number of ways depending on your preference. When in
Fujairah, keep in mind that the majority of the city center consists of
roads--and pedestrian and bike traffic is kept at a minimum.
Traveling by Plane
Fujairah does have a small airport but is currently closed to commercial and passenger aviation. If traveling to Fujairah by plane, you will need to book a flight into 1 of the surrounding emirates and plan a short ride into Fujairah by bus or train.
Traveling by Bus

Traveling by Taxi
Taxis run all over Fujairah, shuttling locals and tourists all over the city as well as to and from neighboring emirates. More expensive than taking a bus, a taxi drive from Fujairah to Dubai will cost an average of $30. Sharing a taxi is definitely the way to go to split up the cost.
Traveling by Car
Fujairah is only a 2-hour drive from Dubai, so if you're flying into this city and you would rather have your own mode of transportation, renting a car in Dubai might be the solution for you. Keep in mind that if you plan on traveling outside the UAE to Oman or any other neighboring country, you will need a separate visa when crossing the border.
