By Plane

Abu Dhabi International Airport is well connected to major cities in the UAE. It is renowned as the second busiest airports in the United Arab Emirates. The airport is serviced by Etihad services and also has scheduled flights to the U.S and Australia. It also has duty-free shopping stores.

By Road

Abu Dhabi is known for its excellent road conditions. You can reach Abu Dhabi via the 5 lane highway between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. It is a 130 km journey which will take you approximately around 2 hours considering the traffic congestion. Be careful if you are driving and stay away from the leftmost lane.

By Bus

You can also reach Abu Dhabi from Dubai and Sharjah via the bus service. ‘Emirates Express’ is one of the preferred bus services that operates between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Per person rates are around Dh.20, $5, for a 1-way journey spanning around 130 km. Bus service starts from morning 6.30 a.m. from the terminal on the corner of Hazza Bin whereas the last bus departs at 9.30 p.m. Bus services are well organized and frequent. You can also browse through the bus schedules which are displayed on the Government of Dubai website.

By Taxi

Taxi services in Abu Dhabi are quite reasonable and a viable choice for budget travelers. You can easily get a taxi from Dubai or other emirates and reach Abu Dhabi. The rates will be decided on the basis of the distance traveled. A taxi ride from Dubai to Abu Dhabi will cost you around Dhs 250 which is around US $68.
