Introduction

New Beach

Abu Dhabi beaches just got better with the establishment of the beach attached to the Corniche. The beach opened in summer 2008 and offers a stunning range of attractions from designated safe swimming areas to luxury eateries to pathways, gardens and volleyball pitches. Kids can take pleasure in the specialized areas reserved for them and there are many conveniences. A new central building on the Corniche is under construction which will house a mosque, changing rooms and eating areas. The venue can be rented for parties, functions and family get-togethers and  serves very many useful purposes. Benches have been provided by the local council allowing visitors to relax, catch some excellent sights and sunbathe on this stand-out example of the best among Abu Dhabi beaches.

For Your Safety

On the beach, lifeguards overlook swimmers from 7 surveillance towers specially constructed to afford the best views of the surroundings. Visitors are restricted to swimming off the beach only at certain times of the day for their own safety. There are also almost 200 umbrellas to stop you from catching the sun too seriously. For added protection there are floating fences that stretch 50 meters into the sea which stop people from swimming too far out of their depth.
