Senior Travel in Side
Edit ThisFor those of the mature age group who still like to travel, a Side Senior Travel vacation can be quite an experience. There are so many attractions to see and a most remarkable landscape that you may find highly interesting. One great thing about being a senior traveler is all the many discounts that are presented to you for travel, accommodations and attractions. That gives you more to spend on the things you will love in Side.
Travel From Afar and Near
It will depend on how much distance you want to travel for you to decide where you want to make your flight destination. Antalya’s international airport is only 90 minutes away by the minibus transport. Senior citizen discounts may be available if reserved in advance. You may want to fly into Istanbul then make your way to Side by bus or train. This mode of transportation can tend to be tough and exhausting although it is far more wonderful. It is important to take your physical condition in consideration for this means of seeing Turkey.
Hotels and Special Needs
When you make your choice, it could be that you need special amenities at the hotel you are staying at. As with most hotels here in Side you won’t get an extreme amount of plushy amenities but places like The Medusa Hotel will more than meet your needs. In addition to the Medusa, another famous place is the Barut Hotel Hemera. They have special accessibility to all areas of the hotel plus handicapped showers and baths. One great extra at hotels such as these is being able to call on free bus service to get around the town. Side is a town highly acknowledged for taking care of visitors.
Attractions
Even though you can get to places like the beach and outside the inner perimeter of the town by a minibus, a lot of the special attractions like the temples and the amphitheatre are only assessable by foot. Most of the paths are easy enough to walk on but it is advisable to travel in a group for safety reasons. And, extra precautions should be taken if you are handicapped.
Getting Around
It is suggested that if you travel out of the town it is better to go by a minibus rather than travel in a rental car. The reason is that the road infrastructure of Turkey is not updated like so many other aspects of the country. The roads are harsh, even for a person who is acquainted with them.
