Honaz Cherry Festival
The Honaz district is a significant cherry growing region in Turkey. Every year, a festival is held to introduce these cherries to the world. The festival first began in 1954 and was celebrated annually until 1978. However, it was cancelled for the next 13 years. The Honaz Cherry Festival has once again been reinstated, and it is held in the first or second week of June every year.
Saint Day at Beyagac Kartal Lake
This festival is held on the last Thursday of August every year. Most people come to this region on Wednesday and stay on Cicekbaba Mountain, which is next to Kartal Lake, overnight. At the end of the festival on Friday, people pray and have lunch together. The main aim of this Pamukkale festival is to bring together people from the Mediterranean and Aegean regions.
Civril Apple and Culture Festival
Another popular festival held in Pamukkale is the Civril Apple and Culture festival. The main objective of this event is to find better markets for the high quality apples grown in this district. The Civril District is known to have rich historic values, and this has led to the annual celebration of this event. It is usually held annually on the 17th of September.
International Pamukkale Music and Culture Festival
This is the most popular festival held in this area, and it goes on throughout September. During this festival, performances by many famous artists are held in different places. It is one of the most anticipated festivals in the region, and tourists are welcome to witness it.
