7 Day Itinerary in Marmaris

visit. You can spend a week seeing all that the town and its environs
have to offer.
Day One
Visit the old town and the bazaar found to the east of Ulusal
Egemenlik Bulvari. Nearby is the Castle Museum that is worth spending
time in.
Day Two
Take a trip to Icmeler, a resort that is just 8 km from Marmaris. You can soak up the sun by day and try out a range of water sports offered.
Day Three
Take a boat trip around the beautiful Marmaris Bay and view the
stunning Turquoise Coastline. This is a not to be missed experience.
The waters of the sea are clear, clean and many shades of blue,
turquoise and green. The scenery is dramatic as the mountains and
steep hills that surround the enclosed Bay of Marmaris come alive when
you cruise down the sea.
Day Four
Spend the day exploring the hundreds of shops that Marmaris offers
the tourist and discerning buyer. You can buy anything from trinkets to
Turkish carpets. You need to bargain at the bazaar shops. This haggling
is great fun when you are purchasing souvenirs of your trip.
Day Five
Take a trip to Ephesus. This jewel of the Eastern Roman Empire is
replete with historical treasures. Visitors can wander through the
city's streets and see for themselves how the people lived and the
houses and buildings in which they lived and worked. This is a must
visit for all those interested in history.
Day Six
Take a trip to see the Dalyan Caunos beach .
You can also see the loggerhead turtles that come here. You
can spend the day swimming and sunning yourself on this magnificent
beach with the clear calm waters.
Day Seven
Take a jeep safari across cool, tall, green forests or across peninsulas with the sea on either side. You will feel close to nature and get to admire stunning views from mountain lookouts. You will be able to see the amazing blue sea and rugged coastline.
All these things can be spread over a week so visitors can plan their time to take in all the sights and yet give themselves time to relax. The beaches and forests are just great for that.
