Malatya Travel Guide

Malatya is located in the south of Anatolia. The town itself is of no particular interest but is a good starting point for a trip to Nemrut Dagi a sight not to be missed!

Malatya is also prime apricot country - in fact, most of Turkey's Apricots come from the region.  You can fly to Malatya from Ankara.

Actually the town has a very rich historical past, there are many ruins to visit (if your into that kind of thing).

There is a really cool museum, which is free. 

There are several annual festivals not to be missed like the Kaysi Festivali, (the Apricot Festival) with famous live acts from all over turkey.
