China Club
Edit This
This excellent little Chinese restaurant on the main drag of Cihangir has been one of the most popular ideas in Istanbul since Atatürk formed the republic. The restaurant in Cihangir is great to sit and relax with tasty spring rolls in soy sauce, divine sweet and sour chicken or mild curry beef. You must check out the chicken and mushrooms sometime too! And any of the 'hot' dishes are also really good! Smiling faces are there to serve you night and day and they do a great job, Oya, the owner is wonderfully friendly and just genuinely nice. You can sit with her, surrounded by non traditional Chinese decor, modern lamps, fans and prints, on a quiet afternoon, sipping fabulous fresh green Chinese tea and nibbling on crispy wontons, idly gossiping about the latest events in Turkey and abroad to pass the time. It's a great place to go if you're ready for a change of scenery and something different.
