The Turkish city of Fethiye offers visitors several things to do. From diving, windsurfing and exploring historical sites the Fethiye Must-Do's are abundant.

1. Karmylassos

Karmylossos is a wonderful resort style community with authentic Turkish style cottages for their guests to stay in. The cottages have all the comforts of home and are built around the community's swimming pool. Each cottage will sleep 4 adults comfortably and the atmosphere is sheer heaven. Less than a 10 minute drive from the resort community is the famous ghost town in the Kaya Valley. Although called a ghost town there are still a few inhabitants and some fantastic restaurants serving authentic Turkish cuisine.

2. Saklikent

Saklikent is a giant gorge that was formed by an earthquake that happened centuries ago. It is one of the country's most famous tourist attractions with its majestic and awesome views. A river runs through the gorge which tourists are allowed to explore. If you take a camera, make sure it is waterproof as you'll be treading up to your neck in water. Guides are available to help you across and point out any potential hazards such as slippery rocks. They will expect a tip but it is money well spent.

3. Old Town Fethiye

The old town portion of Fethiye is worth a visit. It has a very laid back feeling and is full of old world charm and hospitality. With narrow streets and local shops you can easily loose yourself in the relaxed and calm atmosphere that the old city has to offer. Not far from the old town center is the local fish market which is highly recommended whether you are a lover of sea food or not.

4. Pinara

Pinara is an ancient settlement that was once part of the city of Lycia. It dates back to the 5th century AD and offers some of the most spectacular scenery in the country. From the ruins of Pinara you can get the best view of the Xanthos Valley.

5.  European Diving Center

Those with the desire to learn to dive can hardly find a better place to learn. The European diving center offers high quality instruction from caring professionals. They offer diving courses suited for the absolute beginner all the way up to dive master. They offer certification programs in an idyllic setting.
