Getting There in Dalaman
Edit ThisDalaman town is located in the Dalaman district of the Mugla Province, on the southwestern coast of Turkey. Dalaman is a quaint little Turkish farming town, that is popular because of its Dalaman Airport, the only airport in the area.
Getting There:
By Air - Flying via the Dalaman airport is the easiest and most efficient way to arrive in Dalaman town. The Dalaman Airport is very small, with only 14 gates, but offers daily service from Istanbul, and nonstop flights from Europe weekly.
By Boat - Although Dalaman is a coastal town on the Mediterranean, there are no direct ferry routes to Dalaman. However, there are many ferry options to other parts of Turkey, such as routes to Kusadasi, Antalya and Alanya, all of which are also located in the southwestern region of Turkey. You can book a ferry to one of these cities and then proceed by bus to Dalaman.
By Land - There are numerous international bus routes to Turkey, via Austria, France, Italy, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Greece, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Syria. The main bus station in Dalaman is Otogar Bus Station, and it operates daily services to most Turkish cities and towns, with some connections. Car hire and rental is also a good way to explore Dalaman, and Turkey. Most car rental agencies will not allow rentals to be taken across international borders.
