Several bus companies have buses passing through Çanakkale. Buses run almost every hour of the day from Istanbul, 300 kms to the North of Çanakkale, to Izmir, 350 kms to the South of Çanakkale. They stop in Çanakkale en-route as they board the ferry to cross the Dardanelles here.
