Senior Travel in Antalya

Edit This

You really can’t go wrong in planning an Antalya Senior Travel vacation trip. There are so many wonderful things to see in Turkey and around Antalya, especially. This vacation could include some of the most interesting festivals that you have ever witnessed. Not is only Antalya and its environs attractive but it is a modern metropolitan city. All the comforts you could want are here at your disposal.

Sight-seeing Trips

You will be amazed at what the archeological sites outside Antalya have to offer. In the city of Aspendos you can see Turkey’s most preserved theater from the Roman Empire. Or you could travel just a few miles away and look at the Hellenistic-Roman gate towers in Perge. You may find it enjoyable to take a day trip by minibus to Side, perhaps Turkey’s most prolific city for archeological findings.

Festivals

For those who like festivals, Antalya has a lot to offer. Mostly, festivals are held when the temperatures are very comfortable and the rainfall is slight. In May there is the highly acclaimed Flower Festival, where huge floats are made from all colors of flowers. During the last week of August you can participate in the International Folk Music and Dance Festival Competition. In September Antalya hosts its own huge city-wide festival, and the streets are filled with merrymaking and song.

Accommodations

Of course, you want to come here and be comfortable when you are resting. There are many hotels that can meet your needs. It should be important that any special needs that you may have will be met. The Serik Hotel and The Susei Hotel Antalya are more than capable of providing the excellent attention you may need. They are equipped with all the amenities you could think of and the price for staying there is very reasonable. It is also possible to get senior discounts at both of these hotels.

Medical and Other Considerations

Antalya boasts a very updated medical system, which means if you have any emergencies or other medical problems they can be taken care of. Your hotel will most likely have its own medical staff but there are main hospitals if needed.

You will need to get a visa as well as need a passport to enter Turkey. The key is to get a visa from a Turkish consulate before traveling. If you can’t do that, go to the buying visa line before entering the passport checking line whether you are at the airport or the border. It will save you a lot of unneeded hassle.
