This Antalya Itinerary guide gives you a day by day plan for an entire week when visiting the city of Antalya that lies on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey. It is a well-known tourist hub as there is much to see and do in Antalya ranging from nights out at bars and restaurants to days filled with visits to shopping zones, monuments and pristine beaches!

Day 1- Sample Turkish Fare

A not-to-be-skipped activity in Antalya is the satiating of your taste buds with Turkey’s delectable local delights such as ‘meze,’ which is something like an entrée and includes spicy salsas and dips that are eaten along with crusty baguettes and seafood. Other local delicacies include the famous Turkish kebabs, available in fresh fish, lamb and other meats. The restaurant Villa Perla offers all of the above along with a good dose of Turkish desserts and drinks to wash all that food down.

Day 2- Hadrian’s Gate

Visit the famous Hadrian’s Gate, which is a monumental arch built as a tribute to the Roman emperor Hadrianus. Comprised of 3 arched gates, this architectural beauty has a very interesting story behind it. You can learn all about it on your visit here.

Day 3- Hit the Beach

Visit the Side Beach for a day out in the sun and a whole lot of powdery white sand that stretches for over 2 km. The beaches are full of sea-facing restaurants and cafes, where you’ll find every cuisine to suit your taste. Plus, you’ll also find a good number of water sports here. While in the area, a must visit are the Roman and Greek ruins

Day 4- Go Uphill

Visit Tunek Tepe, a well-known hillock region on the western side of Antalya. It is 618 meters high, and at the peak you will find a fabulous rotating restaurant and bar called Doner Gazino. The view from the restaurant is spectacular as one is able to see the Antalya Gulf and the surrounding mountainous area.

Day 5- Go Diving

If you haven’t had enough of Antalya’s beaches, visit the Turkish Riviera where you can go for an underwater scuba dive. You will be able to check out age old sea wrecks, caves and many interesting under water creatures here.

Day 6- Visit a Holy Place

The Yivli Minare Mosque in Antalya is known for its incredible architecture. The mosque that was built in 1230 has a fluted minaret that is adorned with gleaming blue tiles.

Day 7- Kaleici

Located at the center of Antalya City, Kaleici is a great place for shopping and houses superb restaurants and bars. It’s no wonder that this area has become a haven for tourists.
