Nightlife and Entertainment

Edit This
Well, Ankara is not Paris and is not really famous for its nightlife - less than Istanbul for example - but anyway I found always a lot of things to do.

Especially in summertimes there are a lot of bars, cafes and clubs with gardens and open courtyards behind the house, that's really nice and makes a cosy atmosphere.

To have a beer you should stroll around in Kizilay (Red Moon) in the center of the town. You will find three, four parallel streets full of small beer gardens with spicy food and (turkish) life music.

For a great dinner I would recommend the Osmanic style restaurants at the Kale.

Ankara is also an important center for cultural life: The city has three symphony orchestras and five theaters (featuring opera ballet and drama).
