Most guidebooks will tell you that the only hotel in Bosra is the Cham - and unless you want to pay a lot of money make Bosra a day trip. This is not entirely necessary as Bosra is worth more than a few hours. (And who wants to ride the bus twice in one day?) Go to the 1001 Night Restaurant next to the theater/citadel and ask for the owner Obeida. (He speaks Arabic, English, German, Italian and is fun to talk to.) Pretty basic, but a very nice old Damascene building. At night the rooms on the first floor can be quite noisy, due to people drinking and talking in the courtyard. 'Near the Old center in a small street. The area is called souk sarouja street and is near Matyrs Square - Al Majai is how the locals say it
