Museums in Jubail

Edit This
Jubail is a very efficient industrial city but unfortunately there is almost no tourist attraction that focuses on fun and entertainment. This also includes museums and galleries. Even though there is proof that human habitation here dates back 7000 years nothing has been kept for display of this heritage to the public. If you find yourself in Jubail and you want to do some research or are perhaps curious about the local history you have to travel a short way to other cities in hope of finding the information you require.

In the city of Damman, which is about 80 miles away, is the home of several museums you may find of interest. The Damman National Museum is your starting place. Located on the 4th floor of the main public library in the downtown district it is easy to find. The museum's main purpose is to inform people of  Saudi Arabia’s culture, history and former inhabitants. The Heritage Center Damman is instructive for people interested in the Bedouin history of the local area. The artifacts and arts and crafts on display are quite attention-grabbing. Further south about 15 miles is the city of Al Khobar that is a treasure chest of places that have information and artifacts of Saudi Arabia. These places are a must to see for travelers. Some of them are listed here for you. The Science Technology Center, The Saudi Aramco Exhibit, Damman Museum and The Youth Center for Science and Technology.
