Things to do in Musandam peninsula

  Musandam Peninsula is a geographical enclave of Oman. It is a place of great natural beauty and should be visited by all those who go to Oman.

Hire a Dhow

Hire a dhow and view the fjords of Musandam from the sea. Go on a day trip or a three day cruise. Either way you will see the magnificent fjords from the best vantage point. Unlike in the case of a motor boat, a dhow attracts dolphins, so keep a sharp eye out for these friendly and lovable creatures.

Drive on the Coast

There is a good highway all along the western part of the peninsula. Drive down the coastline and enjoy the scenic beauty of the mountains and the sea.

Visit a Fishing Village

Either by a dhow or from the car, visit a fishing village. The people are friendly and will welcome you whole-heartedly.

Go trekking in the interior hills. The view from the lofty peaks is fabulous and well worth the effort. You will be awarded with a splendid vista of the sea from some of the hills in the area.
