The Musandam peninsula, with its strategic location on the Strait of Hormuz and its beautiful coastline on the both the western side facing into the Gulf of Oman and the eastern side facing out into the Persian Gulf, has become a favored tourist destination. Most of the accommodations are in the capital city of Khasab, although the luxurious and upscale Six Senses Hideaway is located on the other side of the peninsula.

Golden Tulip Resort

Probably the largest resort/hotel located in Khasab, the Golden Tulip, offers all the amenities you would expect from a modern Middle Eastern resort. Multiple pools, a children's playground and a few decent restaurants make this a good place to stay, particularly for families. One of the very nice amenities of this hotel is that there is a dive center on-site, which will simplify your planning if you are looking to do some diving--an attraction of the Musandam peninsula. The Golden Tulip is located right on the main strip of Khasab, making it fairly easy to find.

Khasab Hotel

Another upscale hotel, the Khasab Hotel has nice rooms and a good restaurant. It offers in-house tours, including a dhow cruise, a mountain safari and a tour of the city amd might be the place to go if you prefer to have someone else do your planning for you. The Khasab is split into two buildings, the original Khasab hotel building and their new building. Rooms range from a double room to richly furnished apartments consisting of 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and a living room.

Six Senses Hideaway - Zighy Bay

One of the few resorts on the Musandam peninsula that is not located in or near Khasab is the Six Senses Hideaway located on the eastern side of the peninsula just north of the border with the United Arab Emirates. This resort/spa is extremely high-end, definitely more a resort than a hotel. Rooms include beach front and pool side villas and the deluxe private retreat that offers a 2-bedroom suite set apart from the rest of the resort with private dining and kitchen space, a pool and personal butler service. The spa itself offers a wide variety of services and is open from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. daily.
