Kuwait city has well-paved networks of roads and superhighways. The city has no railway system, but the city bus service lines.  When you ride the bus, you need to know the bus number because the number corresponds to the bus’s destination. You can also hire a car and drive around town by yourself. You need to own an international license in order to drive but some rental services will allow you to drive without an international license at a higher cost. Taxis are also available in Kuwait city. The taxis abound near hotels and if you are far from one, better call the taxi service numbers to have them pick you up.

Safety

Kuwait city is notorious for its bad drivers. So, when driving that rented car take heed of the motorists around you and be very vigilant because locals drive too fast and sometimes neglect to follow the rules. Traveling by bus is generally safe, but women are advised to wear modest clothing to avoid harassment.
