Room rates start at about $35 and include room service, laundry service and a restaurant. Another budget hotel in Amman is Toledo Hotel, which is located in the center of the city. Room rates start at approximately $45 and visitors can enjoy comfortable amenities, a pool, restaurant and other facilities. The Crown Plaza Resort in Perta is a popular budget hotel in Jordan. With room rates starting at about $40, visitors can enjoy room and laundry service, a pool, mini bar and restaurant among other things.

The cheapest way to travel around Jordan is by bus. There are many bus services operated by JETT company that connect Amman to Hammamat Ma’in, King Hussein Bridge and Aqaba. Downtown Amman has Abdali transport station that provides taxi and bus services to different locations all over Jordan. Tourists can even find buses for Israel from here. Regular taxis can help you save money while traveling as their fares are quite low, making them suitable for budget travelers.

Tourists trying to save their money on eating out should avoid restaurants in high-end hotels. These restaurants usually serve continental dishes and are quite expensive. The best way to save money while eating out is to try small local restaurants that serve authentic Jordanian food. This includes the national dish, called the “mansaf,” freekeh, stuffed vegetables and Maklouba. Tourists can also find a number of Middle Eastern-styled cafes in Jordan that serve coffees, snacks and food as well at reasonable rates.

Swimming in the Dead Sea is not only a budget friendly attraction, but it is also a must-do activity for tourists in Jordan. It will have tourists bobbing on the water effortlessly. Don’t stay too long as the sun is harsh and the salt in the water can be irritating. One can also visit the Roman Amphitheater which is located in the Old Town of Amman. This ancient ruin takes you 2000 years back in time and is still used for entertainment and theater purposes today. You can also visit the city of Petra which is full of ancient sites or simply relax at one of Jordan’s beaches.
