In order to get to Aqaba, you must be a holder of a visa valid in Jordan. Apart from this, you must have a valid passport in order to obtain a Jordanian visa. You may opt to get an advance visa from the nearest consulate in your area and you need to fill in an application form and submit a photo. You can also opt to get the visa at the border entering Jordan, which is much easier, wherein you don't need to fill up a form or submit a photo. A single entry visa would cost around $15, and for multiple entries, around $30. You have to take note that border visas are not available at the Allenby/King Hussein Bridge crossing with Israel.
