Tzfat-Mystical City of the North

Tzfat is one of the four Jewish holy cities [the other three are Jerusalem, Hebron, and Tiberias.]  Tzfat is home to mystics, artists, many yeshiva students, and spiritual seekers, where people donned red strings on their wrists before Madonna and Demi Moore caught on.  Located at a high altitude, walking around Tzfat can keep you breathless or get you in shape with it's steep inclines.  It's a beautiful city with much history.

Art Lishma--Paint Your Own Pottery Studio in Tzfat

So many places to see and buy amazing art from local artisans in Tzfat, but what if you would like to test your own creative juices?  For many people looking for things to do in Tzfat, Art Lishma provides them with a fun and relaxing way to enjoy the artistic vibe of Tzfat while making some art of their own.  Eighty different pieces of pottery are offered to paint including a wide variety of Judaica pieces, kitchenware, decorative objects, and children's themed pieces.

For the Sake of Art

The Art Lishma studio is located on Keren HaYesod Street, just below the main Tzfat Old City-Artist Quarter parking lot. They work in conjunction with other local potters and ceramicists who have provided some of their own handmade work for the studio's selection, as well as advice and assistance in starting.

Art Lishma invites anyone from age 4 to 120 to participate, and say that it's especially attractive for individuals, groups up to 30 people, families, birthdays, wedding showers, and more. The project takes from half an hour to an hour and a half, but it's also possible to spread it out over the course of several days.
