Tzfat-Mystical City of the North

Tzfat is one of the four Jewish holy cities [the other three are Jerusalem, Hebron, and Tiberias.]  Tzfat is home to mystics, artists, many yeshiva students, and spiritual seekers, where people donned red strings on their wrists before Madonna and Demi Moore caught on.  Located at a high altitude, walking around Tzfat can keep you breathless or get you in shape with it's steep inclines.  It's a beautiful city with much history.

Traditional "bread and salt" welcome (pita bread baked on an outdoor oven on the spot, by local Bedouins, along with salt supposedly from the Dead Sea, though the sodium chloride which edible salt comes from is only a fraction of the mineral content of the Dead Sea and would be costly to extract). more..

The Israel Museam

Edit This

The Israel Museum is probably the most important museum in Israel. Nowhere else in Israel or perhaps even the world will you ever find a better tribute to the fascinating history of the Jewish people. The museum is also dedicated to the creative arts of the Jews. However the exhibits within the museum are also feature non Jewish topics such as the collection of pre-Columbian Central American art.
