Razavie Hotel

Mashhad is the largest city in Iran and is one of the holiest cities of all Islam cities.  This city is known for its culture, arts and science and has many historical and important buildings.

A hotel next to the holy shrine is the Razavie Hotel which is in the center of the city and near taxi services, traveling services and more. The hotel has 92 rooms, a coffee shop and restaurant. It caters to those who tend to make a pilgrimage to the shrine. This hotel prides itself on its environmental friendliness.

Tehran Hotel

If you are looking for a more centrally located hotel, the Tehran Hotel is right in the center of town close to the shrine. This hotel is also very popular.  You will be on a busy street and very close to many bazaars in the town. All the rooms are very clean and the restaurant has plenty of options and serves good quality food.

Other Accommodation Choices

The Homa Hotel is an excellent choice with attractive large rooms for both business travelers and families. This hotel was the first to be built after the Islamic revolution and uses very traditional Iranian architecture.  It also contains apartments and suites.

Just outside the city is the Pars International Hotel which is slightly out of the way for those interested in sightseeing. The best rooms are those that face the back and overlook the lake. These rooms may be a bit smaller but are quieter as the traffic from the main road can be heard in the front rooms. The pubic rooms are quite large and there is a swimming pool. Remember that men and women cannot swim at the same time in this country.

The Forat Apartment Hotel has several different suites available as well as single rooms and multiple rooms. Each suite has safe boxes, bathroom, radio, kitchen, air conditioning and satellite TV. There is a restaurant that serves both eastern and western foods and a café for beverages.

The Laleh Hotel is quite an interesting place to stay as much of its interior decoration is from a former era.  This style almost makes the hotel an attraction into itself. The location is not as convenient to visit the shrine but it is much closer to Kuh Sangi which is an experience in itself.
