Lady's Mile
Edit ThisLady's Mile beach is situated west of Limassol town, between the New Port and Akrotiri RAF base. The beach was named after the horse (Lady) of a previous RAF base commander who would exercise Lady on the sands. The beach has virtually no development, just a few wood construction restaurants spaced out along its 3- 4 mile length. The port end of the beach is mostly pebbles and the water becomes deep very quickly, but as you get nearer the RAF base the sand becomes whiter and the incline very shallow. There are no buses so you need a car to get there, but its a mostly unspoilt more..

Limassol beaches - Pentakomo to Pissouri
Edit ThisI would divide Limassol beaches into 2 groups. Those closer to the city, which invariably have wave breakers, and are well organised, and those further away, which are relatively untouched and may have more interest for those of use looking for a more natural environment and variety.
In the east you will see beaches with dark sand and white rock formations, while in the (far) west you will see rougher seas, some of them even dangerous, pebble or pebble with sand and cliffs. A number of these beaches have few visitors even during the more..
