As many travellers will expect, the cheapest hotels are not the most central ones. Some cheaper ones are in Yeorgiou Malekidi Street or downtown, between Zinonos and Anexartisias Street. Some of them are only open for the summer season. Luxury hotels you will find along the eastern beaches and on the Larnaca and Nicosia roads, together with several modern apartment hotels. If you don't travel during the main tourist times it is not really necessary to make reservations. But if you don't have enough time or good will, do it. Sometimes it takes an hour or two to find a free, more or less cheap and clean room.
