Following is a list of the most popular Cyprus beaches that you must visit.
Agia Thekla Beach
Agia Thekla Beach is one of the popular tourist destinations in Cyprus. This beach is situated 3 km away from the center of Agia Napa. This beach, though small, is 300 meters long and 25 meters wide and is renowned for its golden colored sand. You can also visit the Agia Thekla Church located nearby. Do not venture into the deep waters if you are a novice swimmer. Remember that the lifeguards are on duty only from morning 10 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. Beach and water sports facilities are available on the beach. You can also purchase clothes at a convenience store nearby. Agia Thekla is situated near the main road leading to Agia Napa. You can also reach the beach by car or bicycle.
Pachyammos Bay
This narrow sandy beach is located in Pafos. It is a major tourist area and is opposite the Poseidonos Avenue. You can reach the beach by car, bus or bicycle. Water sports are available on the beach site from June 1 to October 15. Sun beds and umbrellas are also available on hire. Some of the other facilities at the beach include include restaurants, bars and telephones. Lifeguards are present on the beach and are equipped with lifesaving gear from 11.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.
Kapparis Beach
This is another popular beach situated in Kapparis outside Paralimni. You can visit this beach if you want to spend some quiet time lying on the golden sand. Kapparis is a secluded beach and is also famous for its shallow clear waters. It has all the basic facilities for tourists.
Phinikoudes Beach
This beach is located at Larnaca or Larnaka in the central coastal promenade. Phinikoudese is one of the most popular beaches in Cyprus. The name is derived from the palm trees which are planted on the beach itself. This beach also houses several cafes, restaurants and accommodation facilities. You can enjoy shopping in the mini markets situated nearby. This beach is 500 meters long and is endowed with modern amenities like changing rooms, showing rooms and special provisions for disabled individuals. Adventurous travelers can also indulge in water sports. Phinikoudes is perfect for swimming as the water is generally calm and the wavers are mild. Time your visit to coincide with the Larnaca Kataklysmos Fair which is held in the month of June.

If you are fond of marine life, a visit to the Algadi Turtle Beach is highly recommended. This beach is cluttered with green turtles and loggerhead turtles that lay their eggs on the beach. The water at Algadi is shallow and perfect for swimming.
