Raptor Boat Safari
Edit ThisThe Raptor Boat Safari is a 3 hour adventure around the East Coast of Cyprus. The trip starts with you being collected from your accomodation in Ayia Napa or Protaras in a 4x4 and taken to the harbour at the Golden Coast. The harbour is quaint, has many small wooden fishing boats and the local police/Navy boats.
After an initial briefing the boat leaves the harbour and literally 'flies' along the coast to the border with the North. From here there is a great view of the 'Ghost Town of Famagusta' and there is a brief overview of the circumstances causing the division!
The boat then heads back down the coast to the small harbour of Ayia Trias, then passing the beaches of Pernera, Protaras, Fig Tree bay etc, to the first swim stop at DeCosta Bay. Here you can swim and snorkel with the many fish (equipment and bread are provided).
You then continue into Konnos Bay and watch people jumping from the cliffs and then into Blue Lagoon, visiting several caves along the way. Then its round Cape Greko, the tip of Cyprus, seeing the lighthouse and radio station, continuing down to the Sea Caves where there is more cliff jumping to see.
On the return trip the Raptor goes out to sea to look for dolphins, turtles and flying fish. There is a further swim stop in Blue Lagoon with a competition to reach the sea bed! A complimentary drink is available and a fantastic relax in a quiet bay with crystal clear water!
Then a fast trip back to the harbour!
