Getting There in Ayia napa
Edit ThisAyia Napa, largely regarded as the nightlife capital of Cyprus, is
relatively easy to reach by plane. As a destination for relaxing days
spent by the beach or lively nights clubbing, Ayia Napa is a great
place to visit all year long. Getting there is rather simple, with
direct flights originating from all over Europe to the island. Your
choice of transport to the lovely beaches and laid back atmosphere is part of what
makes Ayia Napa the destination it is.
Getting to Ayia Napa by Plane
The
easiest way to get to Ayia Napa is by plane. Travellers can fly to the
island of Cyprus' Larnaca Airport, and then hire a taxi for the 45
minute ride to town. Taking the trip by taxi is pricey though, and will
cost in the range of $90.
If you are looking for a more
budget transport, there is regular bus service connecting Ayia Napa to
all the major cities of Cyprus. Lines 3 and 4 run to Ayia Napa and you
can obtain timetables and travel information at the airport.
An
additional alternative transportation during your stay in Ayia Napa is
to rent a car. This will give you the most flexibility and allow you to
explore the island even further than relying on public transportation
or taxi service. Prices here are comparable to other destinations in
the Mediterranean.
